AGED TEEN

Aged Teen is an alternative acoustic rock project by Dario Guarino (ex-lead singer in the alternative metal band “Nameless Crime”) based in Naples, Italy. After a few demos, Dario self-released “This is not an exit” (EP, 2012) with a band.

Despite not being officially published by any label, the EP received good reviews and all its six tracks are still played by many web radios.

In 2012 “Self-Doubt” was selected by Italian label Toten Schwan for their compilation “T W O”.

In 2013 Dario stripped back his music to an acoustic project, recording new songs and playing solo live shows.

Between 2014 and 2015 the VIDEO EP “Altered Images” was released: Dario shot a video for each of the four tracks, posting them directly on YouTube.

In September 2015 a new video was uploaded on YouTube for the new track “4,7%”; this time the acoustic guitars gave way to a piano arrangement.

In October 2015 New York label Factory Fast Records released a compilation called “We Roll Alone”, featuring Aged Teen's “Night (Who Are You?)”.

In April 2016, the same label chose “Plastic Wrapped Passenger's Seat” for their Mix-CD “Come on Boogie”.

In May 2016, the EP “Plaster” was recorded with the help of Dario's fellow bandmates from Nameless Crime and released on CD by Factory Fast Records, together with the two previous EPs.

In December 2016 recording sessions for Aged Teen's new album “Time is not on my side” started. The self-released album will be available on all digital stores by the end of January 2018 and soon on CD too.

Recorded and mixed by Alessandro D'Aniello at Alley Cat Studio and produced by Lieutenant 030, the album slightly departs from the previous EPs, introducing some electronic music elements in the alternative/acoustic rock Aged Teen's signature sound.

“Time is not on my side” by Aged Teen “Time is not on my side" is the new album by Aged Teen, featuring Dario Guarino on guitar and vocals, Alessandro D'Aniello on bass, keyboards and programming and Dario Graziano on drums.

Recorded and mixed by Alessandro D'Aniello at Alley Cat Studio and produced by Lieutenant 030, the album slightly departs from the previous EPs (This is not an exit - 2012, Altered Images - 2015, Plaster - 2016), introducing some electronic music elements in the alternative/acoustic Aged Teen's signature sound, as well as homages to Outlaw Country heroes like Johnny Cash, or Hank Williams.

The album is composed of 8 original songs (all written by Dario Guarino) and a cover of Stan Jones' country classic "Ghost Riders In The Sky".

Focused on Dario Guarino's clean baritone vocals and acoustic (though often distorted or overdriven) guitars, "Time is not on my side" alternates grunge/punk rock songs and rock/pop ballads, sometimes leaning towards country and blues.
