3’s and 7’s

Band Biography

3’s and 7’s is an alternative rock band formed in mid-2018 in Johannesburg, South Africa. Although the band is new on the local music scene, each of its members have a rich individual music history, which they are all bringing together to create a band that merges all of their unique playing styles and influences together in a creatively explosive manner! In their career so far, they have rocked the roof off of the top music venues in Jo’burg and Centurion over 2018 and 2019, and appeared on The Couch Sessions SA in February 2019! As a band of five guys in their early twenties, they’re writing powerful rock songs with pounding drums, grooving bass, melodic guitars, and a unique melodic and harmonic double-lead vocal twist, proving that rock among the youth in 2019 is anything but dead! They like to play loud, play proud and have an awesome time while at it. They play a set of familiar and popular rock covers by their favourite bands such as Queens of the Stone Age, Blur, Queen, My Chemical Romance, Foo Fighters and Radiohead, but their main enjoyment comes from playing their own original music. So far in 2019, they have released a two-song live EP of two original songs, “Stars” and “Free Entities”, on all major music streaming platforms (Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes, Deezer, Google Play Music, Amazon Music, Napster). They are currently recording their debut studio EP at Pulse Music Recording Studios, which is scheduled for release in late-2019.
